Cleveland Police has vacancies for two Chief Superintendent’s providing an exciting opportunity for talented individuals to contribute positively to the future success of our Force as a senior leader in crime and justice and local policing. To be successful candidates will need to not only demonstrate experience and operational competence but also alignment with the Force values and behaviours. This position is open to substantive Superintendents (both internal and external) as a promotion opportunity or to Chief Superintendents on transfer. Both posts will provide an opportunity to work within a community that has a real heart and a true sense of community spirit but is also faced with some of the most demanding geographic and demographic factors in the Country. Although geographically small the Force spans four Local Authority Areas which provides a unique opportunity for partnership working. Successful candidates will need to be a proven dynamic and self-aware leader who can bring diversity of thought and an analytical approach to the operational and leadership challenges that we face. You will be responsible for leading the performance of the force, delivering outcomes in a manner that reflects a modern culture of performance delivery where numbers are indicators and the real focus is on quality of service. This is a time of change for Cleveland Police, as a critical senior leader you will support the Executive Team in creating the future vision and developing effective delivery arrangements in order to meet the priorities contained in the Police and Crime Plan. An ability to understand the challenges faced by our communities, deliver truly victim led services and ensure our resources are targeted to deliver the outcomes we seek will be critical success factors in both roles.
