RSR Police are currently recruiting for an Investigative Lead to work on a contract for up to 12 months. Based in the Coventry area, as the Investigative Lead, you will be responsible for the management of the investigations team and to oversee activities in protecting the UK from vehicle finance/fraud and theft related crime. The base rate of pay for this role is £17.10 per hour PAYE with some flexibility depending on experience. Main duties and responsibilities To manage, lead and supervise officers and staff within the Investigations Team To assess referrals and direct investigations within the Fraud Team To ensure connectivity between the investigation team and other organisation work streams, in particular the Intelligence Team and Senior Management To maintain effective channels of communication & build working relationships with operational staff and external agencies Manage stakeholder engagement including the provision of training and feedback to drive continuous improvement Represent the Investigations Team at internal management meetings Maintain and update required performance information, analyse and identify performance issues and seek innovative ways of improving staff performance To represent the organisation at external meetings and conferences, advising on issues as appropriate To identify opportunities to prevent fraud through intelligence development To give regular and effective service Person Specification Experience and in depth knowledge of investigations Experience of managing a small team of staff to include prioritising and allocating work and mentoring / coaching others A clear understanding of the National Intelligence Model Experience of presenting at meetings/conferences and communicating with external stakeholders A working knowledge of criminal law and the criminal justice system Experience of working in a multi-agency environment working closely with partner agencies This role will be subject to enhanced vetting.
