This is a perfect opportunity for someone with a degree in Computer Science/Forensics, Computer Networking or Information Systems .

We are managing a recruitment campaign for a global trade body with specialist teams covering the regions of Europe, Latin America and Asia. This is a newly created position for an Entry level Technical Investigator and will be required to assist with both current and new large-scale investigation.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Identifying the organisations largest threats within intellectual property and copyright theft of their members content
  • Collecting, organising and analysing evidence obtained from open, technical and third-party sources
  • Computer network reconnaissance and mapping of human/corporate organisations
  • Work with internal teams and independently whilst contributing positively and constructively to the achievement of organisational objectives
  • Produce reports to a high standard and maintain the ability to communicate technical and precise material in a clear and concise manner
  • Undertake directed and intrusive with the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2002 ensuring all the activities undertaken are in compliance with the legislation.
  • Manage and conduct investigations and assets as directed.


Person Specification

  • A qualification in a computing discipline and/orrelevant professional certification
  • Experience of Microsoft Suite (2013 preferable)
  • Experience in problem solving and/or project work
  • Able to demonstrate an awareness of both criminal and civil evidence production
  • An ability to produce basic reports, documents and presentations
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • The ability to work individually as well as part of a team
  • Previous experience in working with large data set
  • The ability to research a given entity and to provide feedback on initial findings
  • Experience of intermediaries such as online advertising and payment processing
  • Knowledge of i2 or equivalent / Link Analysis
  • Open source/Human resource intelligence


Desirable

  • Knowledge of Internet based protocols such as P2P/ TCPIP
  • Knowledge of Internet Technologies such as: HTML / JavaScript / PHP/ SQL, Mobile Applications
